Marie is the president of the SVDP Sacred Heart Perry Street Conference in south Richmond. The conference is an important asset for the Latinx community and for others in south Richmond. We provide funds for emergencies--most often rent and electric bill payments. Most people call us because of illness and having to miss work or loss of work. Eviction is a traumatic event for adults and children. We try to step in to avoid this.
The Friends of the Poor® Walk is a national event coordinated by the Development Team at the National Council of the United States Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
