The Friends of the Poor Walk is a 5K walk sponsored by St. Anne’s SVdP Conference to raise funds and awareness for Littleton and Ayer families in financial crisis.
St. Vincent de Paul Conference (SVdP) is a community based organization that seeks out and assists those in need regardless of creed, ethnicity, social background, health, gender or any other pursued endeavors. A family is NEVER asked about religious affiliation, we are only interested in helping solve some of their financial issues and help get them back on track. Numerous families right here in Littleton and Ayer are facing eviction, utility shut off, minimal income and very often hunger. The Conference assists these families with budgeting, referrals to food pantries, referral to household goods procurement, and by paying bills that will help them get back on their feet and lead a productive and dignified life.
The walk will begin at 10:00 AM.
The walk will begin at the St. Anne (75 King Street) parking lot by the parish hall with participants walking towards the Littleton Common along route 2A/110 (King Street), they will turn left onto Crowell Way (water station located here), turn left onto Shattuck St., walk by town hall and library, turn right onto 2A/110 (King St.), and return to St. Anne Parish.
Check-In / registration for the walk will begin at 9:30 AM in the St. Anne parish hall.
Please note that the deadline for tee shirts has passed. Online registrations will continue through 31 October. Thank you for your support!
We look forward to seeing you there!
