The Friends of the Poor Walk is an annual event of the National St. Vincent de Paul Office which began in 2008 to raise funds to support local special work projects. The walk/run has taken place at 220 different locations in the United States. The St. Vincent de Paul at St. Vincent Ferrer Church participates in the walk annually. All proceeds help the needy in the community with assistance to PGE and water bills, partial rent assistance (when funds are available), emergency food, and other special projects.
Registration will be held after all the Masses on the weekend of September 14th & 15th, 2019.
Please join us for a walk on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Vallejo Waterfront at 9am. The 5K Walk starts at the Ferry Building across the Mare Island Bridge and back. If you are unable to walk, you may leave a donation . No donation is too small. Thank you for helping us help others.
