The 2021 Friends of the Poor Walk is being co-hosted by the Mission Oaks Recreation and Park District at Gibbons Community Park. The walk will conducted on a one-half mile paved walking path through the park area.
This Friends of the Poor Walk will benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Conferences at Holy Family Catholic Church in Citrus Heights, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Carmichael and St. Lawrence Catholic Church in North Highlands, California.
The Mission Oaks Recreation and Park District is providing the venue for the event to the St. Vincent de Paul Society as a Community Organization Co-Sponsor.
The Friends of the Poor® Walk is a national event coordinated by the Development Team at the National Council of the United States Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
