Friends Walk

St. Charles Lwanga - Detroit
Once again the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is having its annual Friends of the Poor Walk; this year the walk is on Saturday, Sept. 29th on Belle Isle. Pauline and I have been members of the Society for over 30 years volunteering to assist those who are less fortunate than we are.
Like last year we are again teaming up with a parish in the inner city of Detroit, St. Charles Lwanga, to raise money for the SVdP conference there to assist those who are less fortunate than we are. The Vincentians in St. Charles Lwanga parish receive minimal donations from their parishioners as this is a very poor parish. It is only with the help of donors like you that will allow us to assist the needy of this parish.
So once again we are asking for your financial support in our walk effort. We are asking you to please contribute whatever you can to help the needy at St. Charles Lwanga.
To contribute you can either send us a check (made out to Society of St. Vincent de Paul) or donate directly on this website. Nothing is too small.
Thank you for supporting us to help others in need.
