The Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Diocesan Council of Austin is hosting its annual Friends of the Poor Walk fundraiser on October 13, 2018 at the Vincentian Family Center and Thrift Store. During the Friends of the Poor Walk, participants walk in solidarity with those experiencing poverty, raising awareness and providing financial support for our work serving Central Texans in need. As you know I am the Treasurer for the Diocesan Council for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. I am also the Administrator for the Predatory Loan Conversion program for the Diocesan Council. Our food pantry helps over 125 needy families each week in addition to our client services coordinator weekly serving several hundred people in need with bus passes, clothing and hygiene needs.
Please be as generous as you last year, if not more, in helping with this Walk for the Poor.
Blessings, Matt Pogor
