Dear Families and Friends,
I will be participating in the 2018 NATIONAL FRIENDS OF THE POOR WALK on September 29th at Bethpage State Park. My goal is to raise $1,000. All of the money raised will go directly to our small chapter of St. Vincent de Paul.
Our chapter consists of 12 members who meet each month. We pray, reflect, contribute and discuss how we can help our neighbors in need. We work closely with our social minister who will refer neighbors to us. We always meet with the family in need to see how we can help. Sometimes they will need a bill to be paid, furniture for the children, help with rent, car insurance, clothes, and even funds to pay funeral costs. If we see another need, we will offer to help. Some families do not have a table to eat their meals on and do not ask for this. But we will offer and follow up with helping their needs and more.
This is what we do. This is how your donations are used.
Thanks in advance for your generosity!
